EricEric's record of success with coaching and developing outstanding people in world-class organizations spans over 20 years. Prior to Eric’s work as an executive coach and facilitator, he worked as vice president, human resources for the powerhouse international education management firm BASIS Educational Group, which operates the highest performing K-12 school network in the world. As a member of the senior leadership team, Eric championed organizational growth and operational effectiveness for the thousands of BASIS employees spread all over the globe.

Additionally, Eric led the HR division of Goodwill Industries of Central Arizona, the third largest Goodwill in the world and the largest non-profit organization in the state of Arizona. As a member of the senior leadership team at this huge, fast-growing non-profit, he reinforced the sales and productivity culture while creating systems for talent development and leadership identification.

Eric has also worked in regional and strategic HR leadership roles for Target Corporation and Cox Communications, driving sales through performance management and strategic human capital strategy while serving as an expert on labor relations, employee relations, and talent acquisition.

Eric has a long history of coaching executives to manage employee performance, enhance employee engagement, and communicate their leadership strategy in a way that inspires commitment rather than compliance.

Eric is the past president and a current board member of the Society for Human Resource Management of Greater Phoenix, the largest affiliate of SHRM in the Southwest, and is the association’s only president to have been re-elected for multiple terms. He has served as a board member for the Maricopa Country Workforce Investment Board, a position he was appointed to by the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors, and as a board member of the Arizona SHRM State Council. He is a certified Professional in Human Resources (PHR) through the Human Resource Certification Institute, a Certified Labor Relations Leader (CLRL) through Michigan State University, and a Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) through the Society for Human Resource Management. He has a BA in Psychology from Arizona State University, and an MBA from the University of Arizona’s Eller College of Management.

Eric is a lecturer at Arizona State University’s W. P. Carey School of Business and is the author of the very successful career roadmap: A Recruiter’s Guide to Job Hunting.

He resides in Phoenix, Arizona with his family, including a Chihuahua for whom he would give a kidney.
